TO BOOK A PROPERTY
Once you have selected the property that you wish to book for your holiday, simply complete the form at the bottom of the page, that your chosen property is on, and click on send enquiry. An email is automatically sent to Holiday Sun Direct or to the owner with your requested dates and any other information that you have requested. Either Holiday Sun Direct or the owner will then email or telephone you back informing you if the property is available for your requested dates (although you can look at the availability calendar of each property) and with the answers to any questions you may have asked. We will ask whether you would like to book the property. If you decide to book the property Holiday Sun Direct will send you an Invoice for a 10% deposit. This can be paid by either a debit card, or credit card on line or you can send a cheque in the post. Once your payment has cleared, Holiday Sun Direct will then put you in touch with the property owner to complete the booking with you.
If you hear back from Holiday Sun Direct and not the owner, this is because the owner or agent has chosen to advertise their property free of charge with us. If you decide to book the property, we then take 10% from the owner. If you hear back from the owner directly, then the owner has paid for their advert on the site and Holiday Sun Direct do not take any commission. You only pay Holiday Sun Direct a 10% deposit which is non refundable, if we are acting as a mediator for the owner or their agent and the owner or agent is not a paying advertiser. If the owner is a paying advertiser they will tell you all of the details directly. Holiday Sun Direct will send you an invoice by email. This can be paid via PayPal by Debit or Credit card or you can send a cheque in the post. The balance of your payment together with any extras such as airport transfers will be made to the owner; agent direct unless either they or yourself wish to complete the full transaction with Holiday Sun Direct who will then forward the payment on on your behalf. Holiday Sun Direct shows you full details and photos of actual individual properties where you can spend your holiday. These properties are all privately owned and are advertised on Holiday Sun Direct by the owners themselves or their agent.
Holiday Sun Direct has not visited all properties and work on trust from the owners just the same as other holiday rental websites do. We therefore work with a disclaimer. Properties that have been visited by holidaysundirect have been given a smiley rating from one to five. Holidaysundirect.com gives you full details and photos of actual individual properties where you can spend your holidays - not just examples of holiday homes in a given area. At the bottom of every page of advertising there is an enquiry form for you to complete if you are interested in renting that property to contact the owner of the property, or Holidaysundirect.com You will find a good selection of places to stay for your holiday on Holidaysundirect.com - from wonderful villas, to delightful little cottages, modern beachfront apartments, condominiums, inns and some bed and breakfast accommodation Sometimes there will be catering - for example there are a few Bed and Breakfasts and some small hotels. And the properties are in many countries - mostly Europe, but also the USA and Caribbean. They are mostly loved private homes, carefully furnished and fully equipped by their owners, with every convenience to make them a perfect "home from home" for you to rent for you next holiday. We think the best things about a Holiday Sun Direct holiday is that they are - value for money, independent, and being able to be one of the locals and not only a tourist. What time of year should I go?
While it is always good to go on holiday in July and August, there are many benefits to going off-season, especially in Spring and Autumn. The weather is good, but not too hot, the roads and facilities less crowded, and the costs of your accommodation and travel is less. Similarly, avoid Christmas, New Year, School half term and Easter when prices can be more expensive for both the accommodation and flights.
Before you leave home
Make sure you have directions to the property and that you have clear instructions on arrival and who is going to let you in. And make sure you have the name and telephone number of someone on the spot that you can contact should you need to. Some owners send you a key in advance, some actually live on site and will meet you, and some arrange for someone to meet you at the property. What if there is a problem during my holiday?If you have a problem, do get in touch straight away with the person whose details you have been given; they will sort things out for you. It is not worth suffering in silence, then complaining that you had a bad holiday. Now just relax and enjoy your holiday! Don't forget you are staying in someone's home - so please treat it with respect. Please note; as acting mediators we have not necessarily seen all of the properties that are advertised on our site. We have however discussed them with 99% of the owners and have verified that all properties are also advertised in other media places as they are on Holiday Sun Direct. All thats left for you to do now is to complete the form on the page of your chosen property to Book your next holiday now.........Booking Conditions The amount quoted for the property will be quoted on the day of the enquiry or booking and cannot be guaranteed not to alter when deposits and final balances are paid. This may result in a change to the final cost of your accommodation, due to such things as bank charges incurred by currency exchange rates etc. Holiday Sun Direct have two types of advertisers, paying advertisers who you contact directly, or free advertisers who we introduce you to. If we book the free advertisers property for you, you pay HSD 10% of the booking fee which is our commisssion. Cancellations and Amendments: If you wish to cancel your booking after the agreement has been entered into, you must notify this in writing by first class post. The date of the cancellation will take effect upon the date of receipt of the notice. More than 42 days before departure refund of 100% of deposit collected by Holiday Sun Direct will be refunded Less an administration cost to a maximum of ?50. 42-29 days before departure refund of 50% of deposit collected will be refunded less a maximum ?50 administration costs. 28-15 days before departure refund of 30% of deposit collected by Holiday Sun Direct Less a maximum ?50 administration costs. 14- 0 days before departure refund No refund of the 10% we have collected is made. Bookings made within 6 weeks or less before your departure, payment is then due in full at the time of booking together with the required security deposit that the owner requests. The balance of your rental is payable to the owner directly. If the owner prefers, we will collect monies from renters on their behalf and pass it on to the owner. I this incurs bank charges to us, we will pass these on to the owner if it is at their request that we have collected the money from the renter. The balance of payment should be paid by the specified date that it falls due. Should the payment not be received by the said date and we have received no notification from the client, the booking will automatically be cancelled and the deposit kept for admin and loss of further letting costs. Breakdowns and Complaints: No responsibility can be accepted for the breakdown of public supplies including water or electricity, or any amenities out of the owner?s control. However, every effort will be made by the owner and their management company to rectify the problem, acting on behalf of the client. The owners will not accept liability for personal injury, death, loss, and damage arising from the provision of letting the accommodation. It is the tenant?s responsibility to exercise due care and attention in relation to the accommodation together with all fixtures, furnishings and fittings provided. The accommodation should be left in the same state of cleanliness and condition, as it existed at the start of your rental period. Failure to do so will result in the loss of security deposit and extra charges may be made to the tenant over and above the security amount held, if necessary. Should the tenant feel that the property is not satisfactory, they must notify the owner immediately. Your agreement is directly with the owner and not with Holiday Sun Direct. Holiday Sun Direct are just an introducer or advertiser for the owners or agent of the property. Under no circumstances will we enter into any negotiations for claims of compensation. There will be no right for any compensation from Holiday Sun Direct. Holiday Sun Direct makes every effort to ensure that the information supplied to you is correct. Any information given to you with regard to the resort, and surrounding areas, places to visit etc, is given in good faith and is believed to be accurate. Holiday Sun Direct is not liable for any inaccuracies contained in any supplied information. Should any facility not be available due to factors outside our control, we do not accept responsibility. Photographs used in information supplied to you are intended to give an overall impression of the accommodation/complex/resort. We will not be liable for any items of furniture, contents, which appear in the photograph, which may have been changed or removed, also any aspects of the complex, or environment, which have changed since the photographs were taken. It is the renter?s responsibility to take out holiday insurance and to check that the cover is adequate for their needs. I the renter declare that I am over 18 years of age and have read, understood, accept and agree to the above booking conditions.
