On a hillside in the peaceful setting of the Apokoronus region of Western Crete and surrounded by the famous White Mountains and the Bay of Almeritha, Lara's House and Villa Alena sit in their own grounds with extensive and colourful gardens and walkways with sensational views of the Mountains and The Bay. The house and the Villa share a beautiful kidney shaped swimming pool. The expansive pool terrace looks out on The Bay which seems so close you could almost reach out and touch it. Within the gardens are quiet places in which to sit and read or just take in the breathtaking views. And yet, amongst this peace and tranquility, the popular village of Plaka with its Tavernas and the famous Taki's Bar is just five minutes away by car and the resorts of Almeritha and Kalives with their blue flag -child-friendly - sandy beaches and watersport facilities are just 10 minutes away by car.
Lara's House Interior.
Lara's House is single storey with a large spacious lounge with fireplace. From the lounge, French Doors open onto a private balcony with wonderful views across The Bay ( and its spectacular sunsets). There is a large fully fitted kitchen and dining room with full cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed the other with two single beds. Both bedrooms have spacious built- in wardrobes and dressing tables/mirrors. French Doors from the double bedroom open onto the pool terrace. The main bathroom comprises a full-size bath and shower and WC. and a luxury vanity unit with lighted mirror. There is a second shower room with shower, washbasin and WC. The lounge is equipped with Satellie TV and Radio, Video & DVD players and a CD/Tape player. A Hairdryer and Iron & Ironing board are also in situ.

Lara's House and Villa Alena are an ideal holiday solution for families or friends wishing to enjoy a holiday together but who welcome their own self-contained living space at the end of the day. Booked together, each property sleeps a maximum of 6 guests. If wishing to book both properties please check to make sure BOTH ARE AVAILABLE for the week(s) you require. Booked separately, we prefer a maximum of 4 guests. We welcome couples and small family bookings and therefore DO NOT TAKE BOOKINGS from same sex parties or young singles whose idea of holiday fun will differ considerably from that of a couple or a young family. You can be assured therefore that if you are booking Lara's House separately, those who share your holiday environment will be of a similar and acceptable profile to yourselves.

The house comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double,1 twin and a cot. The property also has single sofa beds located in the In storage room.. This room gives up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.
General:
house has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the house cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.
Entertainment:
The house has television. The music system will play cassettes, radio.
Eating & Living:
There is room for 8 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Jeff says: "The villa was spacious, well equipped and nicely laid out. The garden is beautiful, well maintained and extensive. The location is quiet with very few neighbours. The views from the property and pool area are wonderful, great sunsets. Its possible to walk to cafes/restaurants about a mile or so but hilly and dark on the way back so car recommended. The cheese pies at Totem were the best I've had anywhere in Greece! "
