Lavender Cottage - Overview
Lavender Cottage is a beautiful renovation of an old stone Cretan House dating back over 100 years. Due for completion in May 2008, it has been very tastefully restored and offers excellent facilities. An ideal retreat for couples or a small family. It is semi detached to our next door cottage - Mandarin Cottage and offers wonderful views to the mountains opposite. For larger families are couples wishing to stay close to each other - the 2 cottages may be rented together.
Lavender Cottage - Interior
Lavender Cottage has a full range of equipment to make your life easier and to reduce the weight of your suitcase!!! The interior is light and airy offering modern + comfortable furnishings. There are 2 bedrooms, both of which have en-suite bathroom facilities. As you enter the cottage on the ground floor, you enter into the spacious living room which provides varied entertainment and comfortable sofas to relax. There is a wood burning stove for cooler months and flat screen sat TV with DVD player. The dining table with 4 chairs is located in the corner of the living room. A beautiful stone archway, leads you to the kitchen area which is fully equipped with full cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridgefreezer and other such gadgets for an easy life. From the kitchem, a stairway leads you to the upstairs master bedroom. The twin bedroom downstairs is located via a door from the living room and is at ground level. It has an ensuite WC, shower and washbasin plus air-conditioning. Upstairs is the master bedroom with 4 poster bed, great views to the mountains and air-conditioning. The ensuite bathroom offers a whirlpool bath, shower room and toilet. You may enjoy views to the mountains from your victorian style balcony or from your relaxing bath.

Within the pretty enclosed garden there is a shared swimming pool and courtyard. There are enough sun loungers for both cottages and cosy areas with tables and chairs. Lavender Cottage has its own BBQ for private use. The Cottage is located in the quiet rural village of Litsarda - and as the sun rises, the birds begin their morning songs. A truly relaxing, peaceful retreat in the Cretan Countryside. The local village of Litsarda has a small church, a local pizzeria and a cafenion whereas the nearby village of Vamos offers a more varied selection of shops, bakery, butcher, pharmacy, doctors, dentists and local handicraft shops. The local area provides lovely walks down country lanes and with a selection of local beaches only 10 minutes drive, Lavender Cottage provides the perfect location for quiet relaxing holidays.
