Where better to get married than the romantic setting of Crete? Not only can you expect perfect weather and beautiful surroundings, you can leave the headaches of organisation on the big day to our experienced wedding co-ordinators.

From the time of your first contact, we will advise and guide you with our local expert knowledge. Although some things have to be done in your own country, we will arrange for all local paperwork, permits and documentation, right through toregistration on the day after the wedding itself.

We can organise everything from your hairdresser and bouquets to traditional wedding cakes, reception/wedding breakfast and accommodation.

Prices start from around £2000 (excluding flights and accommodation)

All our wedding co-ordination services are tailored to suit individual requirements and the final price depends on the level of comfort you and your party require for air travel and the standard of accommodation.

We can arrange a variety of hand picked venues for receptions depending on the expected size of your wedding party.

Accommodation ranges from de-luxe to self catering. Villas are also available. We will be pleased to discuss the options available upon request.

What could be better than having your wedding day in the romantic surroundings of the beautiful town of Agios Nikolaos? The aroma of fresh jasmine, the sun sparkling on the still waters of the lake and the genuine interest and joy of the local people as they praise the beauty of the bride. There can be no better place to spend the first day of your married life.

The Ceremony

Two types of ceremony are available, civil and Roman Catholic. The civil ceremony is conducted in the picturesque art gallery in the town centre, whilst the church service is normally held at the small church of agios haralambos on the outskirts of the main town. Everything can be arranged for you from a professional photographer, a wedding video, group photographs in the fabulous setting of the lake and transport to the venue of your choice for the wedding breakfast. Anything is possible for the reception, from traditional Cretan dancing to a night club. You can be as intimate or as extravagant as you like!

"We first came to Crete in 2003. During our holiday we met some other holidaymakers who explained that they had got married over there and it got us thinking. Once we got home we decided that we would look into getting married in Crete and went back for a week to check things out.

It wasn't long before we ran into problems. We were in a bar one night telling Viki and Steve about all the difficulties we were having and they offered to help!

They sorted out all the paperwork both before and after the wedding, which loked like an absolute nightmare and put up with hundreds of emails from me as the day got closer. They sorted out the cars, photographers, locations, hairdressers and were there on the day to make sure everything went smoothly.

Agios Nikolaos and the surrounding area has more "Blue Flag" beaches than anywhere in Greece. The clear, crystal water is perfect for snorkelling and swimming and the beaches range from long sandy beaches such as Almyros, to small rocky coves where you can enjoy total solitude. The nearby resort of Istron has three wonderful beaches and is only a short distance from the town by car or bus. When weather conditions permit Istron, Kalo Horio is also a popular windsurfing destination.

Choice of the the Rich & Famous

The BBC series "The Lotus Eaters" was filmed in Agios Nikolaos in the 70's and a short distance away is the small fishing village of Elounda where some of the biggest stars in show business such as Robbie Williams, Cher, Whitney, Houston, Michael Douglas, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and Duncan from Blue choose to spend their holidays. The area is also famous for being the location for the filming of the series "Who pays the Ferryman?" which first bought the world's attention to the stunning natural beauty of this arera.

Almyros Beach, shallow, sandy, and great watersports!

Swimming, sunbathing and snorkelling in the idyllic surroundings of eastern Crete are not reserved for holidaymakers. The traditional "siesta" time is often substituted for a few hours on the beach in the height of summer.

The nature reserve at the southern end of the beach is the source of a cold water spring which flows out into the sea. Perfect for cooling off when things get just a little too hot!

British Airways are starting their direct flights to Herakleion in Mid-March 2006. In total there will be 4 flights per week this year.

The Mantraki was built and designed, some 20 years ago, by the Lymbritis family in the traditional Cretan style and has recently undergone a major re-furbishment. It still maintains the feel of the Mediterranean in the times when mass tourism was in its early days. The comfortable apartments are fitted with modern fridges and cooking facilities but maintain that rustic feeling that attracts so many visitors to the island. Each apartment can sleep up to 4 persons and comprises a bedroom with double, twin or two single beds, lounge/dining area with kitchenette and double sofa bed, shower/w.c and a private balcony. Satellite television, internet access and bar/snack bar facilities are available in the ground floor lounge for the use of our visitors.
