Cueva Burros is a unique self catering cave holiday rental in the quite village of Castillejar (7km from Galera). It is located deep in the hilltop of the Cueva Pedro B&B complex and sleeps up to four people. There is a double bedroom, lounge with a small double bed settee, kitchen/diner, bath/shower room. Castillejar is an ideal base for hiking, photography, mountainbiking, fishing, or anyone just curious with cave living! We also offer the option to rent out the entire complex with the Cueva Pedro rooms, thus accommodating up to 8 people. We have a large pergola shaded area, a nice place to sit and read or enjoy a nice gin and tonic when the sun is too hot. There is a corral patio area with seating and a very popular bench with views over the village - although you might have to share it with a few of the older locals who tend to sit and enjoy the view also!! There is plenty of parking and you will be welcomed with complimentary drinks and tapas, a catering pack in your cave, linen and towels all supplied and changed twice weekly. We do have a communal dining room for breakfast, lunches, evening meals (at extra cost) you will also find games, maps, books, magazines, cds, dvds for your use and our popular 'honesty' bar.!! We are 90 minutes from Granada airport. The local area is outstanding, natural beauty and boasts several lakes, thermal baths and the most stunning scenery with a dramatic backdrop of the mountains of Sierra Baza and Sierra Nevada. You would never beleive this was in Spain, diving around, the scenery looks like Tuscany meets The Grand Canyon! There is a minimum of 5 nights booking. This is a renovated cave (The Donkey's Cave) inside the 'Cueva Pedro' complex, with a double bedroom and a lounge with a double bed settee we can accommodate up to 4 people. There is a fully equipped kitchen diner with the use of a washing machine and a bath/shower room. 2007 - we will be starting our plans for the installation of a swimming pool on the front of 'Cueva Pedro' This will available for all of our guests and we hope to build a sun terrace next to the pool.
